Although this shot shot is too recent for me to have the necessary detachment from it, I know that for me it contains both elemental power and contemplative grace--a combination I look for when I can find it which is not so common.

It's "satisfactory" for me as it is and I don't want to re-shoot but are there editing changes you would make (please be detailed) to take the shot to a higher level? I appreciate your input and if you think it needs more changes than I do, feel free to say so. I've been known to change my mind. Thanks.

ps: This location is at the bottom of a deep gorge so inaccessable except by a careful descent by foot. Can't bring a tripod, and I suspect the light doesn't get much brighter because of the topography.

I'm sure you'll think this is cheesy....but I'd like to see that lone leaf in color.

Thanks, Evan, got it. Looks good but I like the water not too silky ( I know this is a subject of debate.)

sounds good Hank, just note that you can change the level of silkiness by adjusting the opacity and fill. Regardless, a good trick for most types of landscape...

cheers man

i'd push the contrast a bit, push the white with both curves and selective color highlights. mostly it just needs a curves tweak to get it to pop more. ---Mike Savad
