i was looking around for colorblind tests when i came across the farnsworth munsell hue tester The test the idea is, there is a color on either side, and you have to slide the colors within each bar to create a perfect hue gradient from one end to the other. after the 4 bars are done, you hit score and it tells you what your weak in. it might be useful to those that are here and are wondering why everyone see's a particular shade that your not seeing. though of course this whole thing will be screen dependent. still it's better than the ishihara tests with the numbers. ---Mike Savad

First time taking the test, I scored an "8". I think that's pretty good.

i got zero, perfect color. then for the heck of it to get a comparison i did it random and got an 800 something. i haven't tried on my other screen yet though. what i don't like about the test is that it's on that black background which made my eyes vibrate. ---Mike Savad

I got an 8, with weakness clustered in greens and violets. Of course, I did it quick and don't have a calibrated monitor. You can go forward and back, and it turns out I had one block 1 spot out of order in each of two sequences, so I don't feel too bad.

Got a "perfect color vision" result my first time. Not going to risk it and try twice (>_<).

there's no real point. i don't use this place that often, and with the amount of critiques i do i really don't need to. in 1 day, maybe 2 hours or so worth i uploaded 16 photos. my star is hidden. ---Mike Savad

Just giving a heads up. Not sure how it is now but I know you had quite a few back and forths in the past and being a member has the advantage of knowing when someone replies to you.

Nice one Mike! I got 32 - but as I was using my laptop which has a pretty crummy screen, I wasn't too disappointed. Some weaknesses in the blue/green area, and the muddy ones at the left. All used a lot in my favourite subject, landscapes. Hmm.

At least I came out in the top tercile for my "demographic" - grumpy old women!

now if you try it again on another screen, you'll know which one to edit on. or go back and see if someone said that the reds are oversaturated or something like that. ---Mike Savad

I got a perfect score. This tells me I can discriminate hues, but it still doesn't tell me that I know what the right hue should be on my photos or someone photos, for that matter.

i suppose, but atleast you'll know that if someone says you have too much blue or the like in it, you'll know that you don't. ---Mike Savad

I got a 0, which is a perfect score. Amazing when looking at the crap screen we have here at work ;o)

Interesting test! I scored a 7... I wonder if it also depends on the colour gamut of your screen though?

i don't think it should make a difference for that one. but there is another The Anomaloscope it uses a slider and you have to match up the color as best you can. if there is no match you say no match, then it scores you at the end. though i've found the slider sticks too much. the gamut might make the difference on that test since some of it is a brightness thing. the score is a graph, my line was tiny if not all there. ---Mike Savad

I know I am slightly color blind and each eye sees different colors but I surprisingly scored a 7! Perhaps I will retake the test using just one eye at a time! :)R

Very interesting, good find. I got 4 on my work monitor and 16 on my home monitor. I think I'll try again tomorrow and see how replicable the scores are.
