The main focal point is the white cloud (which is too hot) in the top of the top of the image. Other than than there is nothing which can be considered as the centre of interest in the image. There also appears to be the top of a rock just visible in the bottom left of the frame. The image would benefit from some foreground interest to give a sense of scale, or perhaps the reflection from Llyn Idwal. It is difficult to appreciate the scale of this scene and it is truly...

Hai Mark! Beautiful photo. Good composed, good warm colors and good exposure. I am just thinking how will look with f/2.8 or f/4 with more blured background. Neverless good done. Best regards, Robert

Hi Iris, this goes to the same good category as "Miss Cuba" and "Last Communist". IMO it is the right choise that the man does not look at the photographer but smiles at something or somebody. Good and sympatethic picture of an interesting model. The picture could be somewhat more sharp. Thanks! / Lasse

nice shot Jim. It appears the horizon is off by quite a bit. it looks to be leaning quite a bit to the right. I think it may have been nice to see more of the fort

I'm a big fan of "field studies" Jeffrey, so this drew my eye. The telephoto lens is a good way to emphasise the gentle English topography, and has resulted in a pleasing surface reminiscent of rumpled cloth. The tree is a nice accent too.I'm not at all keen on the strong lilac cast though - winter arable fields are such a lovely subtle dun/green colour. Also, I would recommend slightly less aggressive sharpening for a more serene look.

hi John, The image does come across as creepy but I'm not getting a story from the image, and a story would have definitely made the photo stronger.
The dark shadows and the conversion to b/w are the two aspects of the photo which have helped give the the image a creepy look and feel. The way the two dolls are almost floating in the air looks kind of weird, but it does make them come across more as evil spirits than dolls so it ends up working.
the image has been...

yes the scene is indeed peaceful Sunil but the light seems a little flat despite of the sunny conditions: a little rework of levels, curves and contrast will bring back more density in colors. It's sad that you've cropped the top of the building and I'd also reduce the elements on the far left of the image: too much branches makes a crowded side, I'd crop off the yellow building to keep the whole bridge while reducing the elements. Cheers, Jan

Hi Colin, I spent a flaming hot day here last June (walked to Oxwich and back) and enjoyed it very much. So thanks for reminding me of my beach odyssey. The figures and footsteps give, as you suggest, an idea of the sweeping scale of the sands and the dramatic cliffs.I guess you chose to emphasise the blue cast to suggest sfumato - or was it a consequence of a strong blue sky? In either case, it looks a bit too intense for my taste.

The colors are great, the details are very sharp, the sky is beautiful. Clouds are blown out in one spot. All that said, the photo itself just doesn't really do anything for me. It's just a road. dan

What I really appreciate in this picture is that it connects the bird to it's interesting nest, it's a good thing when an avian picture shows more than just the bird. I like the composition and the natural colors, my only concern is that the bird seems to be a tad softer than the entry of his nest. Kind regards, Jan
