Edwin,
I think this capture is excellent. I like the technical details and camera angle. As it is the image is also balanced. But I think you needed a tighter crop to make the composition work.

Good work, IMHO.

Regards,
Abhijit

Thanks Marcel, I fully understand what you mean, but I cannot control over that, the petal just dropped onto where it is not belonging to....LOL....Appreciate your kind words and glad you take the time to view and critique.

Cheers......Edwin

Interesting shot. The clarity is great, but what if it was even closer? Good photo though.

Thanks David, it was too late for me to mount my 1.4XTC to the lens after this shot, the fly just left me right after. Appreciate your kind words and glad you like it.

Thanks Lauren, your kind words are appreciated, the yellow/pink thing is the petal dropped from the lotus flower.

Alright Edwin! Kind of a neat shot but I wish you had bought some extension tube and get him larger :-). Nevertheless, I enjoy the shot Edwin. Just my opinion, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Tm, I did had the extension with me but it was not mounted to the lens by the time I shot, it just flew away as I was about to mount it after this shot, so that is a big miss. Appreciate your thought and comments.

Cheers......Edwin

Sound familiar! I've just bought some Kenko extension tubes since I don't have any macro lenses. :-)

Hello edwin, the sharpness on the fly and drop are excellent.I like your composition and all the lines that lead into the drop is a nice bonus.A little more of the green would work in my opinion.Would wrok better with out the petal..regards,fran

Thanks Fran for your kind words and suggestion, appreciate your thought and I will boost up some saturation on the green to see how it comes out.

Cheers......Edwin
